Social 7 becomes a cashless venue
MediaCityUK’s largest bar, lounge and events space, Social 7, has gone cashless, just six months after it launched. The move makes it the largest cashless venue of its kind in the UK.
MediaCityUK's Tomorrow building has been highly commended at the national BCO (British Council of Offices) 2017 awards in the commercial workplace category.
This is a considerable achievement given the thousands of office developments that are opened annually in the UK.
Designed by Chapman Taylor, the 11-storey building creates a striking visual marker at the entrance to MediaCityUK, currently one of the most advanced IT and media communications locations in the UK. A mixed-use building, Tomorrow includes 5,400m² of flexible office space over six levels for creative digital and media SMEs, with a 112-bed hotel located on the upper four levels.
Designed to be highly energy-efficient, the naturally-ventilated building uses a variety of high-performance façade elements, opening windows, vents and night-time purge facilities to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ accreditation and flexible working.
