MediaCityUK has just been awarded the prestigious ESPA award – European Standard Parking Award – for its 2,300 space multi-storey car park. The European Parking Standard Award (ESPA) is instituted by the European Parking Association (EPA) to improve the quality of service, provided by the parking industry to its customers. In the UK this is assessed and accredited by the BPA – British Parking Association on the EPA’s behalf.
The MediaCityUK team are passionate in maintaining high standards across the site and the quality of its car parking is no exception. It was important for the team to have the standard and quality of their multi-story car park recognised. As MediaCityUK’s car park system provider, HUB Parking Technology were able to guide and assist the team in achieving this coveted award.

We are delighted to have been able to work in partnership with HUB Parking Technology, and it is further testament to how successful the partnerships in MediaCityUK are. With over 8,000 people now working, living and studying at MediaCityUK; and our Phase Two plans in action to attract even more residents and businesses; sufficient and intelligent parking solutions will be crucial.”

This European accolade demonstrates how worthwhile the regular upgrading and modernisation of a car park such as this is. Only two car parks in Europe have achieved the award this year, with MediaCityUK being the first car park in the UK to have won the award since 2016.MediaCityUK has invested a lot of time and effort in ensuring the large 11 floor car park operates efficiently giving users the best experience they can by utilising Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), additional signage and multiple pay stations all accepting both coin and cashless options, so both transient and contract users get a smooth experience
“Through great teamwork we’re proud of what we’ve achieved together,” said Lee Burton HUB Parking Technology Managing Director.
